DR. PASCAL DOH TO HEAD DIANA RY

As an organization, DIANA ry started operating officially as an organization in November 2021 with Dr. Pascal Doh as the first president and Executive Director of the organization. As president/Executive Director, Dr. Doh oversees the activities of the organization and sets a clear direction for the organization.

Who is Dr. Doh?

Dr. Pascal S. Doh (Docent cand.), resident in Finland (Cameroonian citizen) holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Management from the University of Tampere, Finland, an M.Phil./Master in Higher Education Policies from the Universities of Oslo (Norway), Tampere (Finland) and Aveiro (Portugal) under the Erasmus Mundus Programme of the European Commission (2007), a Master of Administrative Sciences at the University of Tampere and Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Buea, Cameroon. He is the founder of the DIANA ry. Dr. Doh has been involved for close to two decades in studies, teaching, research, and consultancy in higher education management and policy issues between Europe and Africa. Within the past three years, he worked as a senior researcher at the University of Turku, where he created a renowned scientific network, the Finland-Africa Platform for Innovation (FAPI) which won the internationalization grant of 4 million euros as pilot of the Ministry of Education, Finland.

He has published widely on several higher education management issues international journals and participated in over 60 higher education policy Conferences including with renowned organizations such as UNESCO, OECD, EC, EUA, AAU, CUD-Belgium, ADEA. He has also carried several consultancy projects with the latter international organizations.  He is bilingual in English and French. He is also the teacher of a course on the role of the entrepreneurial university in the national innovation system, in the Master of Research and Innovation in Education, Erasmus Mundus Programme of the European Commission at the University of Tampere, Finland.  He has been visiting Lecturer at several African Universities: Cheikh Anta Diop, the Gambia, the University of Yaoundé 2, and Makerere University, Uganda. He is the Course Director of the course “Building African Entrepreneurial Universities” by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa which was held in January and February 2021. He is also a member of the renowned Africa-Europe foundation and regularly consulted person on higher education, science, and technology policy issues between the European Commission and African Union e.g., AERA. He is a member of two Education Advisory Clusters of the African Union; Higher Education and STEM and have been a speaker at the Science Summit of the 76 General Assembly of the United Nations in September 2021.
